The National Service Scheme(NSS) is a youth development movement. It has enormous potential for nation building. The NSS Provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline and Moral values so that they become able leaders and useful citizens.

Nss Motto

The motto or watchword of the National Service Scheme is 'NOT ME BUT YOU'. This reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other person's point of view and also to show consideration for fellow human beings.

The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities., with distinct emphasis on Social services, Discipline and Adventure Training. The NCC is open to all regular students of school and colleges on a voluntary basis. The students have no liability for active military service.

Objectives Of Nss

To enable the students to understand the community in which they work.
To understand themselves in relation to their community.
To identify the needs and problems in the community in the solution of which they can be involved.
To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
To apply education and find practical solutions to individual & community problems.
To develop competence required for group living and sharing responsibilities.
To gain skills in mobilising community participation.
To acquire leadership qualities and a democratic attitude.
To develop the capacity to meet emergencies and national disasters.
To practice national integration.

The Principal and the Programme Officer are the principle functionaries of the NSS Unit. We organized 3 Units of NSS with 100 students in each unit. Every year we are conducting various Regular programme and a Special Camping programme. It helps the students to face the realities of the situation and also provide opportunities to play their role in planning and execution.
