The Secretary's Message

India, at present has a population of 125 crores. It aspires to become a super – power in Asia. To achieve this, our human resources should be developed to a tremendous level. It is a universally acknowledged tangible fact that the progress and prosperity of any nation depends mainly on the strength of its human potential. This in turn depends on the quality of education imparted to the younger generation which will enhance one’s intelligence, rational thinking and all positive personality traits. Kothari commission has rightly stated that the future of any country takes places in her classrooms. There the students and teachers interact to enrich their knowledge Quality of Teachers is one of the most important factors in influencing students achievement. I wish our teachers to enhance their professional competencies and work tirelessly in molding our future citizens to make the dream of swami Vivekananda come true. Hail India!

The Principal's Message

The traditional concept of education was inculcating in the minds of the students the accumulated knowledge,culture and social values from generation to generation and develop their personality.But with the complexity of the present age due to globalization,industrialization and explosion of knowledge in the field of Information and communication technology,our present system of education needs a sea change,“The National policy of Education (1986) suggests:“The National strategy of education has to ensure the availability of highly educated,trained and motivated man power for dealing with the challenges,which are inherent in the modernization and globalization of the economy.” In this modern age apart from the traditional goals of education, skills of the students should be developed to face the challenges in this competitive world.We need a system of education where there are several opportunities for the development of communicative skills,inter – personal relationship skills,Problem solving skills and creativity.At this point of time,Teachers have an important role in assisting the students to develop their creative skills.

Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam equivalent to 10,+2 Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu are eligible for admission to Under Graduate Degree Courses.

P.G. Courses
